Days For Girls (DFG) is an international organization working in the sector of menstrual hygiene in over 120 countries. It helps girls and women towards increasing access to menstrual care and education through developing global partnerships, mobilizing volunteers and empowering women and girls. Days for Girls Nepal (DFGN), is leading in Nepal to achieve the mission of DFG through organizing partnering with various gov. and non-government agencies and implementing its programs in various districts of Nepal.
Bajra Samaj Nepal (BSN) is pleased to announce that BSN and DFGN has formally established its partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 27th June 2019. Mr. Angel Chitrakar, Advisor/Fundraiser on behalf of BSN and Ms. Maya Khaitu, Country Director on behalf of DFGN signed the MOU. This collaboration is aimed to provide technical support to perform project activities under the project “Promoting Mensural Hygiene Education and Washable Sanitary Napkin in Schools and Women Groups” in Ramechhap Municipality supported by “Foundation for Social and Ecological Future“, German.
Through this collaboration, DFGN will help BSN and target beneficiaries to enhance knowledge and skills on menstruation hygiene education through training and orientations. Further it will also help BSN to prepare Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials, conduct research on project activities and develop menstruation hygiene status report of Ramechhap Municipality.
BSN would like to kindly acknowledge and appreciate the contribution of DFGN, through supporting 600 undergarments/panties in menstrual hygiene kits (DFG kits) which will be promoted to the school girls and women in project areas. We believe that this organization partnership will last for long-term, through sharing resources and expertise to address barriers and stigma on menstruation promoting knowledge and skills for positive change in the community.
